Application
Twisted tape (also known as tube turbulator, or twisted tape inserts) is designed for heat transfer enhancement by increasing heat exchange coefficient. It is widely used for tubular heat exchangers like condenser, evaporator, chiller, cooler in power, chemical, steel industry.

Material of fabrication: carbon steel, plastic (PVC, PE, PTFE), copper, aluminum, SS304 & 304L, SS316 & 316L, SS317L, etc.
Width: 5-500mm
Maximum length: 500m by continuous production, then can be sized to any length.
Thickness: 0.4-8mm, in some cases 12mm is possible.
Minimum twisted ratio (L/D): 3.6
Features
- Twisted tape made of metal or plastic. High strength & toughness, low notch sensitivity. Weathering resistant, chemically stable, elastic.
- Unique hydrodynamic structure, enhanced turbulent flow to reduce adhesion of fouling on turbulator tapes.
- Non-welding SS connection parts, small resistance.
After installation of twisted tape, laminar flow inside tube is changed into turbulent flow. Thus, boundary of stagnant layer and uneven temperature field is broken. Heat exchange coefficient, namely K value, will be increased by over 20%. And flow inside has a longer pass to travel through, heat transfer inside exchanger of the same size is more sufficient.
