In coal fired power plant, consistent fuel feedstock is vital for continuous power generation. Coal flowability is influenced by coal types, ash content, moisture, etc. To reduce generating cost, boiler combustion with coal blending of low grade coal like lignite is common in modern plant. That makes coal blockage happen frequently inside coal bunker, transfer chute, fuel chute. Especially for direct-fired pulverizing system, it may cause fast cut back or even forced outage. Traditional manual cleaning like hammering or poking is low efficiency and dangerous. Our advanced anti-clogging system brings solution to that problem.
Raw coal, coal gangue, mineral & ore, sandstone, clay, bottom ash, etc.
For coal bunker, cross section gets smaller when location is closer to coal feeder. Blockage happens easily within area 1.5~3 meters above coal feeder. Our anti-clogging machine with rotating scrapper is installed at this location. By relative movement between scrapper and hopper wall, coal bonding with hopper wall is destroyed. Coal stored in bunker will flow freely into coal feeder.
As throat between coal bunker and feeder, coal valve is easy to cause blockage. We design low profile coal valve to replace traditional ones. Its straight-through structure can reduce probability of coal clogging.
Wearing and clogging is common issue for transfer chute, which delivers coal to roller screen, crusher, belt conveyor in power plant. Our special design of anti-clogging solution for transfer chute solves that problem perfectly. Wall B is detachable structure with rotary scrapper mechanism. In operation, inclined wall A could avoid too much abrasion with coals, while wall B receives incoming material and push them downwards to avoid blockage. And its wearing resistant material makes it serve longer.
For CFB boiler, coals fall onto bed by gravity through fuel chute. If coal lumps are sticky, buildup at the cross will block fuel feed line. The solution is to install anti-clogging system with rotary scrapper at the back end of inclined chute. Rotary scrapper moving closely to inner wall of fuel chute will remove buildup and eliminate clogging.
Only in limited space, the device can be installed in the middle of chute. Or else, back end is suggested location.
Coal clogging of fuel feeding system is not only an economic issue in power plant, more importantly, it means risk for safety of unit. Our proven technology with successful installation is key to bring efficiency to next level.
