Maximize combustion performance, stability and efficiency of your coal-fired power plant with our state-of-the-art Coal Flow Measurement and Balancing System.
Uneven distribution of coal flow from mills to individual burners is a common issue for pulverized coal boiler due to varying arrangement of coal pipes in length, elbows, levels, etc. Designed for online monitoring and tuning, our system can achieve accurate coal concentration & massflow & velocity measurement and balanced distribution to enhance combustion efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Electrostatic sensing coal flow measurement refers to a technique used to measure flow rate of coal particles in a pipe by detecting electrical charges carried by coal particles as they move past a sensor.
During process of pulverizing in mill and pneumatic conveying in coal pipe, coal particles are charged by collision and friction. Sensing electrode becomes inductively charged. When massive particles pass by, it will generate induced current, which is related with coal massflow. We can get coal concentration based on that.
When coal pipes are installed with two sensing electrodes with a distance. Coal particles will pass by at two differential time. The time delay can be processed to get coal flow velocity.
Coal flow balancing valve is of damper structure for continuous & online boiler tuning whenever necessary to optimize coal flow. When unbalance is detected, system automatically sends signal to coal flow balancing valve driven by actuator. Damper will rotate and change effective flow area of coal pipe. With it, we can achieve balancing of coal flow concentration and velocity in each pipe.
