Overview
UDZ series product is intelligent, bi-color drum level indicator controlled by SCM (single chip microcomputer). The system includes a water column attached to boiler drum and an electronic unit. Position of conductivity probes mounted on water column corresponds with light emitting diode on electronic unit. Water level condition will be displayed in control room. When water level is abnormal, UDZ drum level indicator will give light & sound alarm and trigger interlock control.
Featured with intelligent analysis, accurate response, reliable performance, UDZ electronic drum level indicator is widely used for water level monitoring and remote display inside boiler drum, deaerator, condenser, water tanks, etc.
Working principle
As conductivity of water and steam differs greatly, conductivity probes can obtain water level signal by changes of resistance at electric contacts. When electric contact of probe is immersed in water, current passing through sensing circuit will turn diode into green, while current passing through electric contacts above water level is low and diode is kept in red. High or low water level depends on numbers of electric contacts immersed in water. Changes of resistance is transmitted to electronic unit for remote display.
