Stack damper

Application

 

Stack damper is used for HRSG or boiler to reduce heat loss and prevent ingress of rain into stack. By stopping stack draft during shutdown, stack damper greatly reduces heat dissipation from boiler. It shortens boiler warming up and re-start timeStack damper brings obvious economic benefits for HRSG operation (2 shifts) of large & medium gas turbine.

Technical

 

Pressure drop under design conditions: ＜5㎜H2O
Leakage under design condition: ＜2％

Structure

 

Stack isolation damper could be of butterfly, double flap, twin louver, multilouver design. Relatively speaking, double flap design has a better sealing performance in comparison with louver damper due to less sealing periphery. And this system is equipped automatic pressure release system to avoid overpressure and damage to boiler and gas turbine.
