Volume control damper

Function

 

Volume control damper is used to control fluid volume in duct by changing damper to random location within 0 to 90°. Volume and pressure will be linear change according to the opening of damper. Volume control damper can’t be used to stop the passage of fluids, so it is used together with shut off louver damper or slide gate damper.

  • Louver in airfoil shape minimizes the pressure drop.
  • Graphite packing at bearing journal ensures low leakage.
  • Connection with duct: flange, bolt or welding.
  • Adjustable damper opening to request. Opening status monitoring in real time.
  • DCS control available.
  • Manual/electric/pneumatic control for choice.

Install location: vertical/horizontal/inclined duct
Fluid: hot/cold primary air, exhaust air from coal pulverizer, flue gas.
Design pressure: 0.35MPa
Design temperature: ≤400℃

 

Application

 

Volume control damper in power plant has the following usage:

  1. To adjust the ratio between primary and secondary air.
  2. To adjust temperature of hot air entering coal pulverizer.
  3. To adjust flue gas flow in flue gas recirculation system.
