Urea pyrolysis system consists of urea solution preparation & storage tank, forwarding pipeline, pressure control, dosing & distribution module, urea injection system, urea decomposition chamber, dilution air system, instrument, etc.
Urea decomposition chamber could use hot flue gas or hot preheated air as heat source. As urea solution is corrosive under high temperature, and heating air at inlet is around 600℃, intergranular corrosion would happen to SS304 under 450~850℃. SS316L is used for the body of urea decomposition chamber. Urea solution is sprayed into decomposition chamber in fine mist, and convert to ammonia and carbon dioxide. This gaseous reaction product is then injected into flue gas through ammonia injection grid for Nox reduction. Chamber is covered with insulation materials to reduce heat loss.
