SNCR system is to achieve flue gas denox without catalyst. Its full name is selective non-catalytic reduction. Under temperature 850~1100℃, reducing agent ammonia or urea sprayed into boiler furnace could react with NOx selectively, and form N2 and H2O. NOx removal efficiency ranges 25~50%.
When ammonia is used:
4NH3 + 4NO + O2 → 4N2 + 6H2O
When urea is used:
(NH2)2CO → 2NH2 + CO
NH2 + NO → N2 +H2O
2NO + +CO → N2 + 2CO2
