Pipeline purging gate valve

Application

 

For a newly built thermal power plant, steam pipeline (including superheater, reheater, turbine bypass system) must be purged to remove impurities inside before power generation unit is put into operation. Wedge gate valve in close position is installed at the end of pipelines to be purged as an isolation device. And valve will be opened by electric actuator to allow flow of purging steam. Compared with common gate valve, this wedge gate valve is specially designed to meet with requirement for purging process:

 

• Fast open & close action.
• Huge pressure & temperature difference before and after it.
• More impurities like sand, welding slag, rust in fluid.
