Butterfly valve for FGD system

Application

 

In thermal power plant, wet FGD by limestone-gypsum process is widely used to reduce air pollution with an efficiency up to 95% or higher. For a butterfly valve used for FGD system, it must withstand not only corrosion caused by chloride, oxide, acid, but also abrasion caused by particles contained in slurry. So the key to extend FGD butterfly valve service life is to choose the correct material and structure.

Features

 

• Only 2 wetted parts by slurry, namely seat and disc. To improve working performance in corrosive and abrasive environment, valve seat is lined with PTFE, UPE, EPDM rubber, while valve disc is made of 316L, C-276, DIN1.4529, SAF2205, etc.
• Epoxy coating for valve body made of cast iron.
