Swirl burner consists of primary air pipe, secondary air pipe and swirler. Inside the primary air pipe, there is central pipe. Swirling air flow carrying pulverized coal or oil mist comes out of the central pipe and enters recirculation zone. Fuel is mixed with flue gas and gets ignited. Pulverized coal burns stably and completely. Swirl burner can be used for different types of coal. Minimum stable load without auxiliary firing is 50%. It is a very good choice for retrofitting of coal fired boiler, and small influence on the existing furnace.
We installed swirl burner with 660MW ultra-supercritical boiler and proved its excellent low NOX emission.
