Vent condenser

Function

 

Feedwater is heated and deaerated by boiler deaerator in power plant. If deaerator vent is directly discharged into atmosphere, it would result in a waste of energy & water, and noise pollution. Deaerator vent condenser, or flash steam vent condenser, could solve this problem and achieve heat & flash steam recovery from deaerator vent or flash tank.

 

Working principle

 

Vent condenser is direct contact type heat exchanger. It cools deaerator vent down by spraying demineralized water. Steam would condensate into water and get supplied to feedwater tank, while un-condensing gas is released into atmosphere on the top. A vent condenser consists of swirl spray nozzle, orifice, packings, steam distributor, etc.
