Anhydrous ammonia vaporizer could be classified into different types according to heating mode: electric heated, steam heated, water bath.

 

Electric heated anhydrous ammonia vaporizer has a stainless steel electric heater, which supplies heat to heating medium (water). Anhydrous ammonia will absorb heat from heating medium when it passes through coils immersed in water. It is vaporized and sent to downstream equipment after liquid/vapor separation. To control ammonia outlet temperature, a measuring element monitoring temperature of heating medium will send sign to control on/off of electric heater. Temperature of heating medium is normally 80±5℃.

 

Steam heated anhydrous ammonia vaporizer is specially designed shell and tube heat exchanger. Steam goes through tube pass, ammonia goes through shell pass. Ammonia absorbs heat and gets vaporized. We can supply skid mounted ammonia vaporizer. Ammonia vaporizer is equipped with level gauge. At ammonia inlet and steam inlet, there is control valve. At ammonia outlet, there is temperature transmitter. Control valve at ammonia inlet could adjust input volume according to liquid level (or output pressure). Control valve at steam inlet could adjust input volume according to ammonia outlet temperature. Steam supply and demand is well balanced to ensure stable performance of ammonia vaporizer.

 

For water bath anhydrous ammonia vaporizer, anhydrous ammonia passes through SS coils immersed in heating medium (water). Ammonia absorbs heat and get vaporized. It is sent out after liquid/vapor separation. Saturated or superheated steam supplies heat to heating medium directly or indirectly. To control ammonia outlet temperature, measuring element is monitoring temperature of heating medium. By adjusting valve opening, temperature of heating medium is under control.
